Guido leFric and Rhea are La Floa Maldita.

"La Floa Maldita" is a term that farmers in a south american country use for

the nice flower poppy, which is used to produce narcotics that can cause

addiction and death. that certain term came up to my mind, when I was in a

bad personal situation with some friends and I wanted to draw a line between

them and me.

....the nice flower that cause death. like our songs with are not predictable,

start silently and turn into something bigger, which differs from the "scene

soup sonority".

we are a music group from Germany and describe our musical style as "chanson électronique", which means we use lots of

electronic devices and a female voice to create somehow unconventional timeless songs and tracks. heavenly voices is

another term that would describe at least parts of our idea, but our music is far beyond that.

the history behind the music

the beginning - the concealed spell 1994

La Floa Maldita was found in 1992/93 as a musical project with the intention

to do movie scores. soon, with the encounter of Rhea the project turned

into a real band. we tried to create an intimate , misfit atmosphere with the

first cd, totally self-centered.

metamorphosis - sorcière and desication separation 1995

the style of our music changed a bit, new instruments and additional styles

gave us new ideas, off the movie score into the dark dancefloor.

l'oasis 1996

during the time of "l'oasis", we thought nothing will ever stop us. we signed

with "Project Pitchfork's" label "Candyland Entertainment". but, everybody

proved us wrong...

first tour - first kicks 1996

in 1996, we went on our first tour together with "Chandeen" and the italian

"Black Rose". we had a nice week and a lifetime friendship with chandeen.

next tour - twin peaks not peeks 1997

in 1997 we had a KODEX label tour together with Oswald Henke's "Erblast".

we had a long week of fun. especially for the tour, we released a split cd

together with Erblast.

new world taste - destination heaven and reconcealed with the light

we signed with a very good label in the US, formerly known as "Pendragon

Records". later, that label was sold to "Metropolis Records", later on. before

that, we signed with "cri du chat" for south america, but the label itself

disapeared somehow...

reflection - voyage, voyage 1999

we did our first cover version in our history with that 80s song "voyage,

voyage" of the french music group named "Desireless".

we had to perform this song on geman televison show at a fair "IFA 1999" in

Berlin.

we changed our european label again, back again to KODEX Records.

the break 1999-2002

several personal problems and much work different from la floa maldita kept us from making music and having an aim worth

working on...
